Volunteer Opportunities at the Garden

At the Garden, our volunteers are essential to achieving our goal of instilling the sense of excitement, awe and passion for the living world in every guest who walks through our doors.

Since our founding in 1930, volunteers and their contributions have been vital to the success and growth of the Garden. Today, volunteers donate not only their amazing skills and talents, but thousands of hours – collectively – to help with school groups, lead tours, assist with outdoor and indoor garden maintenance, monitor and feed critters, help in the library, work in the store, greet visitors, help with crafts and games, special events, and so much more!

The Garden is a perfect place for volunteers to learn new skills, contribute to their community, form new friendships, and have fun.  Your interests, abilities, and availability will determine your volunteer placement but you will find that the Garden has choices to suit you and/or your group.
